Rare Antique Mohd Selleh & Sons Silver Kris Edged Letter Opener & Filigree Case

Description

Rare Mohd Selleh & Sons Malaysia .800-.899 silver & horn letter opener and original silver filigree case. Both the handle and the kris blade are of carved horn. All silver, the case and the guard on the opener are tested at .800-.899 silver. The case has a filigree front and a solid back. The back is stamped with the Mohd Selleh & Sons Hallmark: Malaysia, 1260B & Arabic script translates to Kelantan, a state in Northern Malaysia famous for its silver making. The opener is in good condition for is age with some light age appropriate patina. I see nothing missing and nothing broken, The kris edge has natural indentations from the original carving.
