51cm ItalVega Nuovo Record
frame-set (53cm top tube) '70's Columbus SL lugged construction. Professionally refinished with correct decals. Uses clamp-on cable guides, nutted brake caliper attachments. See photos and/or ask questions.
INCLUDES:
Campagnolo Record headset, new seat binder bolt and drop-out adjusters. All threads fine, good chrome, ready to assemble. Undamaged prior to refinish, unused since. 126mm (6/7-speed) rear hub spacing.
Requires an Italian-threaded bottom bracket which are widely available.
ALSO:
For customers desiring cold-setting the rear stays to 130mm hub spacing (for 8, 9, 10, 11-speed cassettes) this may be done prior to shipment by a local, master frame builder for an additional

About ItalVega:
The brand was created by California cycling importer Ben Lawee,
who also created the Univega and Bertoni brands
. Sold
from about 1970 until the late 70s,
frames were designed and built by the Torpado factory located in Padua, Italy. The Nuovo Record is one of the mid-range ItalVega models.

As a cyclist for over 50 years and bike restorer for 20, I derive satisfaction from returning "cosmetically challenged" (as in beyond patina) artisan-made Italian, steel frame sets to as-new appearance for cyclists to build and enjoy riding again. Frame refinish is far more expertly applied and durable than original. Some frames have been re-plated. Chrome plating is good to excellent.
