Description
Up for grabs is an original 1940s Lane Tech High School Letterman sweater/cardigan.Features the classic mustard yellow and green color combo of the Chicago college prep high school, three green stripes on the left arm, a Lane Tech patch on the right arm, two pockets, a chain stitch name patch "Ronald" above the left pocket, and the classic Lane Tech logo on the back. The lettering is a late 1940s to early 1950s old English style that the school stopped using from the early 50s and onward. No size marking, but it fits similar to a contemporary men's size Medium to Large (check measurements below).
The sweater is in very good condition considering its age. It does not appear to have any holes, rips, tears, stains, spotting, or damage which is extremely rare for something this old. There is some minor fabric pilling throughout the sweater. The patches appear very vibrant in person, too! The sweater does have a musty mothball odor from decades of long-term storage, and it has NOT been laundered prior to selling. I am selling this in as-found condition and would recommend a professional dry cleaning to help remove odor.
